Under the hood of the base trim of the 2024 Mazda CX-5 is a peppy and energetic SKYACTIV-G 2.5-liter inline-4 gasoline motor that offers up to 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque for sporty acceleration and merging. Toward the top of the trim scale, however, Mazda adds Dynamic Pressure Turbo to the engine, elevating horsepower as high as 256 and torque to an exhilarating 320 lb-ft, hurtling from zero to sixty in just 6.7 seconds per Car and Driver.
