How to Install Apple CarPlay: Mazda Vehicles

If you drive any vehicle in the Mazda lineup, here are the steps for you:

1. Use the Apple Lightning® cable to connect the phone.
2. MAZDA CONNECT™ will detect your iPhone. If this is the first time you have attempted to use this feature, you will be prompted on the screen to enable Apple CarPlay.
3. Select “Allow” on the pop-up notification displayed on your iPhone. When you do this, your vehicle can access Apple CarPlay content on your iPhone, and you don’t need to first unlock your phone each time.

The steps below are for Nissan owners:

1. With your iPhone, go to “Settings” > “General.” You need to confirm that Apple CarPlay and Siri are both on. You do not need to download an app. 
2. Use the Apple Lightning® cable to connect your phone. 
3. You will then be asked on the display screen if you’d like to connect to Apple CarPlay. Select “Don’t Show Again” before choosing “Yes.”

How to Install Apple CarPlay: Volkswagen Vehicles

Here are the necessary steps if you drive a Volkswagen: 

1. Download the Apple CarPlay app from iTunes.
2. You will need to use a Lightning® cable to connect the phone. 
3. You will receive a message letting you know that a new device has been connected. When you see the message, select “Connect.” 
4. Select “Allow” on the phone.
